IT'S ALL THERE is a mechanical sound sculpture using wind energy to spin a turntable by means of a big wind wheel. Physical objects are attached to the record player and its frame creating soundscapes that are the direct result of the respective weather conditions. In this way this sculpture transforms wind into sonic textures and its sonic outcome is always in a state of flux.
This work aims to remind us that a harmonic coexistence between nature and humanity is possible, because "It’s all there": clean, gratis, abundant and never-ending.
This work was exhibited in the protected natural coastline of Lautasaari in Helsinki and has been realized with the kind support of architect Lauri Saarinen.
